Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous archipelago and is one of the Indian oceans islands. It's two biggest islands are Unguja and Pemba and there are other small islands within. Zanzibar was united with Tanganyika to form what is now modern day Tanzania and although it’s united with Tanganyika, Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous state and has its own government.To get to Zanzibar you have two options, you can fly or you can take a boat most likely departing from Dar es salaam

Zanzibar it’s known for its beautiful soft sand, white beaches, shimmering azure warm waters, diverse culture, exotic spices such as, cloves, cinnamon, lemon grass, turmeric, black pepper, nutmeg), rich fauna and flora (red colobus monkeys in Jozani Forest, butterflies, Kizimkazi dolphins, tortoises and turtles) and it's historical sites.
